- Our snowfest is held on Lake Pennesseewassee, more commonly referred to as Norway Lake. The best place to park is at the public boat ramp. Depending on ice conditions, most competitors will be allowed to park on the ice. There will be plenty of signs and people to help you park on race day. - If your just coming up to park and ride anytime, you can park at the boat ramp also. You can either head up the lake to get onto the main trail, or you can follow the trail that leaves the parking area and crosses the Waterford Road, then continues up to the golf course. From there you can follow the signs to wherever you want to go. |
- From the south, take exit 63 in Gray off the Maine Turnpike. Follow the signs to Route 26 North. Continue on Route 26 approximately 25 miles, all the way to Norway. Take a left onto Main Street just after Aubuchon Hardware. Go past the hospital, then keep left at the next stop sign. Follow Main Street through town, then you will see the lake on your right. Keep following the lake on route 118/Waterford Road until you see the sign for Pennesseewassee Park on your right. |
- The nearest address for the boat ramp is 76 Waterford Road, Norway ME 04268. ( although my gps showed it as 96 Waterford Road ). Do not park on the side of Waterford Road, the police will be enforcing the no parking signs. |
- From the north, take exit 75 in Auburn off the Main Turnpike. When you get off the turnpike, take a right onto Route 4 / 202. Then take the next right onto Kittyhawk Ave. Go about 3/4 of a mile then turn right onto Hotel Road. Follow Hotel Road until you come to Minot Ave/Route 121. Take a left onto Route 121 and follow it to Oxford. In Oxford, take a right onto Route 26. Follow Route 26 into Norway. Then take a left onto Main Street just after Aubuchon Hardware. Go past the hospital, then keep left at the next stop sign. Follow Main Street through town, then you will see the lake on your right. Keep following the lake on route 118/Waterford Road until you see the sign for Pennesseewassee Park on your right. |
